The extruder gear is the mouth of your 3D Printer. You feed it endless meters of filament like the ravenous beast that it is. But just like any set of teeth, these can wear out – especially if you’re feeding it hard to chew food like Glow, Metal Fill, etc. So have a set of spare Extruder Gears on hand keep your hungry 3d printer satiated without it having to gum its food.
With these rounded-tip gear teeth, though, you don’t have to worry about the filament getting ground to a pulp before entering the hot-end – which can cause intermittent extrusion issues.
So if the extruder gear is the mouth, what does that make the nozzle?
